new clie T675C refuses to charge

Having sat in its cradle overnight, my clie is still not able to run from battery power.

The troubleshooting information on sony's clie site does not extend beyond checking that it is pugged in (it is).

Has anyone else experienced problems?

it's a T675C, when craddled the green light on the cradle is on, along with the amber light on the clie. It is able to run from mains power in the cradle (suggesting that it is not a loose connection). When switched on the battery indicator has the "charging" lightening flash, but the charge percentage always remains at --- (3 hypens), empty?

Soft/Hard resetting and shaking does not have an effect.

Did you ever solve this problem? I'm going through the exact same thing with a new T665C. Let it charge all night, but no power. Exchanged it for a new unit, and now after 4 hrs. of charging, no power. Sure glad I bought this thing at Costco; I'll keep taking them back until one works (or I think better of getting a Clie...)

To followup, apparently I got two bad Clie's in a row. The guy at Costco thinks I'm retarded for not knowing how to charge up a Clie, but today I brought home Clie #3 and it charged up just fine.

Only "possible" difference... and I don't really believe this, but one Sony tech said that I messed up my initial charging on the other units by turning it on while in the cradle. That's ridiculous if true.
