The Cross stylus/pen combos are still available on Ebay. These are the second generation (I lost my first generation, and can't find those anywhere, dang it!) ones, super light weight.

I usually just go with the multifunction pens. Even the stock stylus is a little too thin for me to handle well.

Definitely a matter of personal preference. I wish they were heavier. AND thicker. ;)

Did Palm ever make retail 3 packs of replacement styluses which where the same as the ones with came with the TX?

A year ago I bought a 3 pack of official Palm TX styluses and I remember being very unhappy with them because, as you say, they had a pen (which I would never use) inside, and were mostly hollow, and much too light.

No, they didn't. So in hindsight, I should've said, "Pack of 3 OEM stylii."
