I have a new windows 7 computer. Before I install the desktop manager/Hotsync manager I want to remove all the junk on my Palm. I want it back to "stock". I want it like I bought it when it was new.

How do I do that? I have FileZ, but how do I know whats safe to remove?

Just do a factory reset. That will set it back to factory and you won't have to worry about deleting something you shouldn't. Or leaving something you don't need/want.

Here's how to do a factory reset:

Make sure you have a backup of all your data files on the SD card and a backup of your Palm Desktop files, too, because the factory reset will wipe everything on the Palm and make it just like it came out of the box.

EDIT: Sorry. I'm not quite awake yet. :p

Do a hard reset. That will put it back to box stock. *Then* I'd run the cleaners. ;)

These should help:

TX Junk Remover 0.5 http://www.1src.com/freeware/fileinfo.php?id=1775
Versamail Remover 1.0 http://www.1src.com/freeware/fileinfo.php?id=1798
Destaller Lite 3.5 http://mytreo.net/downloads/destaller-lite,554.html

And as soon as you get it set up the way you like it, use NVBackup (regularly and religiously) to make a restorable image of it. You'll be glad you did.
