Apparently Qualcomm Japan has released this prototype ~ TV on a pda ~ it uses "BML" which is Broadcast Markup Language it should eventually be available for telephones and/or smartphones.
Guess the NZ is NOT the biggest pda any longer. Scary, ain't it? :D I wouldn't try carrying this in a jeans pocket . . . heh.

Heck, I could just duct tape my T665 to a portable colour TV and have a more attractive (and slimmer) setup.
:)
Fancy brick! Useful PDA for famous people that are constantly chased by paparatzy (sp?). They can use it to bash those buggers on the head with it.

What the hell were they thinking?!?

They did say "prototype." Somehow, I doubt we'll see a production model. Maybe more like proof of concept.

Now there's a thought. Then you could download different skins.
One day Sport Compact then Luxury coupe then offroad vehicle...........
Or download hacks to "overclock" and improve mileage.

What the heck are all the cartridges?
Really, all I want is a sled for my T665 that lets me use compact flash modems/storage, provides additional power (with AAA batteries and a built-in recharger), plays AM/FM/weather band radio, has a storage spot for earbud headphones, and has a TV tuner that will play on my hi-res screen.
Is that so much to ask?

Certainly not. However I think you are setting your sites a little low, you use fuel cell batteries instead of AAA, you will get a much better battery life..:D
With the extended battery you could easily add holographic projection as well, I mean they can do it on TV why can't they do it in real life.:D

Why not? It would easily fit in my rear jeans pocket! You've never tried pants with a 72" waist? I actually leave a little extra room for growth when I buy; I usually use size 87". Heck, i once bought one of those 'toy' PDA's (SL10) and lost it- it fell in the cuffs of my pants. And you could forget about holding that stylus. Why would you risk losing your investment like that?
Does anyone know where I can pick up that handsome 'TVMobile?' If only someone would have thought this up sooner!

Now, that's easy!
Just put a TV card in a standard PC, tape a car battery to it, and find someone with really BIG hands :D
That thing is nasty. It does look like it has three card slots though. There is a wifi card and a cellular air card plugged in. And the third slot for a TV tuner card? Could be very useful for someone who cant go without internet or TV for more than 10 seconds.

If I'm so fat, how come I drive a VW Beetle- the seatbelt fits quite snugly?!!! I'd like to see you try that! You 'oughta see the CEO of the company that made this PDA! My waist is 87". I think that's actually about average. and my mama say i look quite stylish in me Beetle.

Damn... for the size they made that thing, they could have at least integrated some of that functionality!

I love how the screen is so small. Look how much room there is between the edge and the screen!!! What a joke. Whoever made the prototype should have to swallow it as punishment.

In all seriousness... it looks like something made to be installed in a car- like a radio or big gps system or something. there's absolutely no way a designer could have thought this could be some type of handheld unit- even if his waist was 273"!
And unless i lived in England, I couldn't use this like a PDA if it were mounted on the dashboard since i'm a lefty!
