clie ....no mac???

hi i'm a new user of the clie sj22

the thing is....theres no mac support as we all know...
and so i heard that downloading the Palm Desktop for mac and then installing the iSync palm conduit should do the thing.

but then there is the MissingSync?

which should i use ? and what are the main differences?

Please advice what i should do as i just bought my Clie 2 hours ago...

im running the Mac OS X 10.2.6

I would recommend downloading Palm Desktop 4.1 (http://palm.com/support/macintosh/mac_desktop.html)

You can dowload isync (http://www.apple.com/isync/) also.

I am pretty sure these can take care of your basic needs BUT to access your Memory stick, THAT is where missing sync (http://markspace.com/) comes in handy (it'll sync with itunes, iphotos also)

You will need missing sync for the clie drivers for all aspects of the clie, (not just the itunes, iphotos and such)

what do u mean by clie drivers for other aspects?
can you please explain.. i am really new here...

or can someone tell me a URL where it teaches beginners how to use the clie, and how to use it with a mac?...not a pC.

the missing sync will give the mac the proper drivers so it "see's" the clie, otherwise the compter will not be able to hotsync with the palm (even with iSync).

and how do i put pictures(iphoto) or music(itunes) in the clie?

once you install the drivers, they also install drivers for those two mentioned programs. Then you have to open the program and export them that way.

i have the isync and the palm desktop and all..
but i still cant sync...it says that the connection could not be established..whats wrong

i dun have the missing sync software coz i heard that with the isync and the palm desktop for mac and also the iSync 1.0 Palm Conduit... i should be able to sync already ... just to install the applications from the cd that i got with the Clie..

nope, as you know, you are not able to sync. You need the drivers from the missing sync. Its the only way.

THIS IS NOT ALWAYS THE CASE. Examples: T615, TG50, S320 do not need Missing Sync (although TG50 DOES require PD 4.1)

People, please test your clie's with the NEWEST Palm Desktop 4.1 before accepting that Missing Sync is required for sync.
