Hi all. Have I got this straight?
NX models work with OSX 10.2 right out of the box no questions asked?
If so can you sync with outlook or is it only the data from the Palm software?
Can NX sync with 9.2.2 iut of the box or do I need Missing Sync?
Any other info on how and with what apps I can sync the NX models would be of huge benefit.

yes, nx models work with osX right out of the box with the exception of mounting them memory stick on the desktop. for that you need missing sync. missing sync also provides for easy transfer for itunes and iphoto (this alone is worth the price of the product, IMHO)

in order to use the nx with os 9.2.x you need missing sync.

outlook for the mac is still not supported on osx (unless you start up the classic emulation). i have never been able to get it to sync on any palm device using osx.

however, microsoft entourage (mac specific outlook-ish pim) does run natively on osx and the sync conduit works fairly well (not perfect, but then it is a microsoft producct :-) unfortuneately, entourage will not connect fully with an exchange server set up.

almost any app that can sync with a regular palm can sync with a nx. i use documents to go, adobe acrobat, pocket quicken, and mobile filemaker pro all the time.

Can you help me out with my NX? I don't need to mount my memory stick in OSX, but I really want to sync my NX70 with OSX, I can't get it to work at all.

Can you give me some instruction on what I need to install to get it to work? I am about to get missing sync but if I can do without it I'd rather no spend the money ...

Thanks!!

all you need to do is download the latest update for palm desktop for mac and hook the cradle into the usb port. at least this is how it is supposed to work. i moved from the nr70v to the nx70v and already had missing sync, so all this is simply hearsay on my part. however, i have never had a problem syncing with missing sync. not only can you mount the memory stick on the desktop (i know, you don't want to do that, but it comes in more handy than you might think) it also gives you a great way to transfer mp3s and pics using itunes and iphoto.

in my way of thinking the money spent on missing sync is well worth having a reliable sync solution and it means i get to use the best pda with the best computer (and bill gates evil minions get nothing).
