I have just bought Intellisync Sync to syncronice my Outlook 2002 with my Sony Clié PEG-N610C PDA.

I have the following software installed:

Windows 2000 Profesionel
Outlook 2002
Intellisync Desktop 5.01.02
Hotsync Manager 4.1
PC: Palm Desktop software 4.1
Palm operating system in the CLIÉ: OS 4.0

Normally I do not use the Palm Desktop Software, but I installed it to get the new version of Hotsync (Hotsync Manager 4.1).

I want to syncronize email, adressbook, dates and notes from my Outlook 2002.

I am running on a ASUS labtop, and communicating to the CLIÈ through the USB port.

When I syncronize my adrerssbook, datebook and notes, everything goes well, but when the emails from the shall start op be syncronized, I get the message:

UNKNOWN PALMPILOT SECTION DATABASE

I have deleted the existing email database on the CLIÉ, so there is no emails in the CLIÉ.
I have also hard-reset the CLIÉ, but I still get the UNKNOWN PALMPILOT SECTION DATABASE message when I try to syncronize emails from OUTLOOK with the CLIÉ.

Do I need any special "SONY" specific files to do this?

What can be wrong?

I dislike Intellisynch and prefer Pocket Mirror for synching outlook with my N610.

The email synch is done with software that is installed whit the Palm Desktop. If the emails are not synching, try going to Programs>Sony Handheld>Mail Setup and run the setup again choosing Outlook as your PIM. If that does not work, uninstall the Palm Desktop, reinstall from the original CD and then download the 4.x download fron the Sony support site. Sounds like everything works fine except for the emails.

Let us know what happens.
