Hello all,

I realize that I'm posting on a forum that is pretty loyal to the PalmOS, so I may not get the warmest response. I do think there's some value here for people looking to upgrade mobile data collection processes though.

Basically, It's geared toward people who are using old Palm devices for data collection. Barcode scanning mostly, but we can work with some other programs built for the palm to record data and bring it back to a database.

So if your looking to upgrade an old system, you buy the new Motorola devices, and the TracerPlus software and we'll take your old palm data collection program and port it over to work with your new PDA.

basically, we'll create a TracerPlus version that does what the old software did (and more, since its newer software).

so here's a link to the detials.

Feel free to let me know what you think of offers like this...even if you think its a bad idea.

Any questions are also welcome. We also have PalmOS software with Janam devices for those who really what to stick with that OS.

Thanks

1) This is a promo and deal section right?
2) I checked in a while back to see if this forum was the right place to let people know about this promo and was told I would be ok.

At the same time, I freely admit I'm trying to sell something, so if this in fact the wrong place to discuss this, then sure, I'll P*ss off.

The fact is, developing custom apps for a mobile devices can cost companies thousands and sometimes ten of thousands of dollars. So a guy using a bunch of old PDAs that break down a lot might still stick with them because of the high cost of redeveloping those apps. With this offer, re-creating that is free.

Now I mentioned that it saves over 700 bucks since that's about what my company charges to develop one of these from scratch, but other companies do charge a lot more, so its a valid promotion.
