I am planning to buy a CF with a free dual slot. Of course I have to pay the shipping, and tax. But when using amazon, it will be cheaper but no slot. Any advice, how is the dual slot helpful to my NX?

Do you mean a PC reader?

Yes, because it is USB.

Well, you will want it because MS import does NOT support CF. You als cant install to CF through hotsync. You can move stuff to CF from MS on the device, but that takes too long.
You do mknow that you need a $27 driver from Eruwate to use a CF in NX, dont you?

your gonna want a card reader, whether dual slot is good enough is up to you.

I have a 5 slot USB2 reader from costco, it was a awesome deal for like 24 bucks and the USB2 speed comes in very handy at times.

If you want to make it easier on yourself yes. And if you plan on using it for your clie alone, I would suggest one with at least CF I+II and MS

You will want a card reader/writer of some sort. If it is a dual slot model, look for one with: USB 2.0 (you do not need a USB 2.0 port to use most of these - they run fine at the lower speed USB 1.0/1.1) Mem Stick slot CF Type I/II (most straight memeory modules are Type I - thin, while higher capacity Microdrives are Type II - thicker)If it also has SD/MMC, thats a bonus.

I have a SanDisk dual MS/CF reader that I got at Best Buy in December, it works great!

Get a combo reader on ebay or staples or best buy. It'll run you a bit more, but whenever you get another device with a different memory you'll be able to use it. If someone brings over their digital camera with a SD or MMC you can read it...
