Hi, i've got a NZ90 and have been installing lots of things, but the problem is, that whenever i decide to erase any app i know (i'm sure, cuase whenever i check my memory after deleting an application there is always less than before) some databases ramain in Ram, the thing is that i dont know which database is really being use and which not.
is there any utility or step by step procedure to help me erase all unused things in ram without erasing by mistake other things???

appreciate any suggestion

Well, you asked... My main worry with regard to "deleting" stuff is that some of the system files, if deleted cause the Clie to a memory error and then start blinking.

You WILL NOT be able to stop the blinking or certain of the errors without a hard reset.

If you only have a normal backup, you will have lost many of the setups and other files as they do not get backed up. Thus the reason for the "special" backup programs like BackupBuddy.

if you are not an expert, my best advice is to backup, hard reset, and reinstall your programs... that will be really clean..

if you delete something you should not, you can get the screen of death, and hard reset anyway...

I always use the delete from the pull down menu in the standard OEM Clie launcher. It's nothing fancy, but it does the job. Too many hop into their RAM or MS with a file manager and wreak havoc.

Best ... to move things you use often... to FLASH-RAM.... Check out JackFlash .... Best utility out there. You can gain about 4mb more with a NZ90 by moving things from RAM into FLASH.

Should only move READ-ONLY files into Flash. This doesn't really answer your question about unused databases....but if it is space you are concerned about.... I'd move applications from normal RAM into FLASH .... and also onto a Memory Stick (MS).

By doin such.... I generally have 7mb free in Ram (give or take a few hundred KB).
