Greetings

Looking for advice: I am a fairly low tech guy, so I need canned solutions. This is more about how the PDA fits... and is NX70 the right one?

My vision is to make short videos of my kids and show them on my PDA, and also to share them with my low tech family.

Any suggestions on the best way to do this?

My stuff:
video cam: DCR PC5; ms port
PC: Sony RX 770 2.0ghz 40gb for software + 120gb for video + ms port; with the sony video software suite
PDA: thinking hard about NX70
80211.b wifi network at home
a dell portable for home.

Current Process:
Take videos on DCR PC5
use Adobe PREMIERE LE to download them to hard drive in .avi format
erase the tape for re-use
use MOVIE SHAKER (Sony software) to make a 30 second music video out of some clips (takes 15 min, results are neat) result: ~30-40mb .mpg2
Upload video to imagestation.com so others can download them
export
Export the 32MB music video to 128MB MS
Hopefully show that video on an NX70 when someone says "do you have pictures of your kids?"

Any suggestions if NX70 is the right one, if the CF card workaround would be good, is it worth waiting for MSpro, and how about the image quality on those videos?

Any way to take advantage of the WIFI in a way I have not discovered?

Any reason to wait for a 32MB NX70+?

Is there a Sony video editing forum that could be helpful?

Thanks for plodding through my question; I could not really get the straight answers from all these highly technical discussions...

I see no reason why the NX would not work for you. As long as you convert the mpeg2 to mpeg1 for image converter. can shaker just output the file mpeg1 in the first place? i have the cf driver, was a beta tester, like it, but if you consider yourself as low-tech (to which i am assuming you really mean you want less hassle) i would just get a ms pro large enough to suit your purposes. As for the wi-fi, i have no idea as i have not a clue as to what you have discovered. And wheter to wait for a 32mb NX is hard to say, if one is coming out soon it would be worth it, if not who knows. rumors say we should hear something soon but then again its al rumors,

Thanks very much mr. the spies, sorry for blowing my stack on the other post, and I will try not to make such heavy messages in the future!
