View Full Version : What does draining the battery do?

I thought that draining the battery I could wipe out everything I've done to my palm, but after waiting a couple of days it's still the same. I wanted to try something more drastic than a hard reset but not as drastic as disconnecting the battery.
Might it be that draining the battery really doesn't erase any info or that I just never really drained the whole battery?
What do you think?
Thanks for the help :)

Your Palm has NVRAM, which does not erase when power is lost. Draining your battery will only cause excess wear on the battery.
Better to just do Hard Reset. Disconnecting the battery will be just as good, but risks breaking something.

another thing, there is no way you can tell if the battery is drained. A few days or even a few weeks will not necessarily do it. The ONLY way you can know for sure is to produce an open circuit to the battery.
