What is different between a TH55 and a TH55/E or TH55/U and any other versions?

Search engines are no help because entered with the / followed by the letter, they just ignore it and only look for TH55 or PEG-TH55. Remove the / and they'll either still only return hits on TH55 or say nothing found.

What'd be excellent for all the forums here are sticky posts of hardware and software specifications.

I have a /U and /E. The main difference between the two is that the TH55/E has bluetooth.

/JDK is Japanese and Korean OS, I am not sure if it has Bluetooth, but ti had WiFi
/U is USA version that has WiFi only and comes only in english
/E1 is European version with Bluetooth and WiFi and comes in French, Spanish, and English
/E2 is European version with Bluetooth and WiFi and comes in other European languages [do not remember which, but english is among them]

According to my docs, The E1 is for English, German and French and the E2 is English, Spanish and Italian.

I think there was a H version too, but I might be confusing it with a different Clié model...

H for Hong Kong. All Asian versions had no Bluetooth.

I had a red TH55 once with no letter after CSK-003 for Japanese version.

Why would they not include Bluetooth for Asian versions?

Back in 2004, Bluetooth was not yet popular in Asia and US, only in Europe. It also added cost significantly, about $200 more back then.

Heh, hard to imagine something computer/electronic being more popular or introduced first outside of Asia. ;)
