I didn't like Favorites on my E2 and I like it even less on my LifeDrive. (Happy 38th birthday gift to me from my sister! She asked what I wanted so I said one of these and she said "OK!")

I just want to have tapping Home cycle through the categories like it did on my old Visor Platinum! It worked fine, very simple and easy. Palm should've put in an option to NOT use Favorites.

You can use a small free program called ButtonsEx (http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/buttonsex.shtml). This program appears in the Prefs panel, and it has a checkbox to disable switching between Applications and Favorites. Works like a charm.

Then check out TealWheel (http://www.palminfocenter.com/news/9770/tealwheel-v10-released-for-palm-os/).

or the freeware Apt (here on the boards)

ButtonsEx didn't do the job. It'll make it not switch between Applications and "Favoris" but it *doesn't* make the Home button cycle through categories and after a few presses it switches to Favorites anyway, then takes a few more presses to get back to Applications. So FAIL for it, at least on LifeDrive. I downloaded the latest version from the author's site.

Tried it on my E2 and the disable switch doesn't work at all.
