Im from Canada and i use Fido (Microcell) as my GSM provider

the tg50 dails into my gprs and the connection is established with my t68i however, my palm icq, clie mail, netfront etc never gets data!

there is no data flow! i end the session and the phone says 0 bytes sent and 0 bytes recieved...

Yes, in my case this was all caused by the GPRS setup on the provider's side being faulty.

If you press (shift) he little white button near the green LED on your T68i it gives you a status screen. In my case it said 'GPRS disabled' which is a sign that your provider has messed things up.

If that isn't the problem, begin by creating a GPRS connection on your T68i and using it for WAP access on your T68i first. If you can't get that to work it's no use trying the TG50.

If you get that to work refer to the data account you created by using *99***x# and substitute x by the connection ID.

Hi All,

FYI, most of the operators have more than one APN. That means that they will have 1 APN for WAP and anther for Internet connectivity. (might have another for streaming etc’)

If you try to access the internet, mail, ICQ and any non-WAP application they will simply will not go through.

You have to ask the provider what is the HTTP APN setting.

It should work. BTW, note that you will have now 2 settings for connections and you have to choose the right one when dialing the *99***x#

Ciao, ZK
