Extra battery needed.

Were is the best place to buy a new battery, and what do you need to look out for? Do car chargers cook the battery like pocket pc's car chargers do?

Hooking mine up to the car charger did some weird things to the battery. Charged it full charge in under 30 min and messed up the "smart" function til it had cycled thru a charge on the stand/charger.

The car charger for my ipaq 3765 shorten the battery life significanty. I was told the Sony car charger charge at a much slower rate and in turn did not hurt battrey life as much, is that true

I would hope that a Sony branded charger cable would work appropriately on their units. Are they selling it as an NZ accessory yet? Originally they didn't, claiming it could only be charged via cradle. I haven't paid any attention (I bought a second battery instead). BTW, my car cable is a leftover from my NX.

Yes they do I just check Sony web site product# PEGA-DC10 But my Ipaq was a Compaq Brand DC charger was not a good exexperience.Oneeyesquare its good to here from you again.Does any one else make an equivalent cheaper battery?

I think the cheapest battery should be PEGA-BC10, you can use re-chargable AA battery. And BC10 can supply power to NZ90 w/o charging.

Of course, it is not as same as BP500, you need to take an extra unit together with NZ90.
