Since all of the threads have been deleted (unintentionally of course) I though we need a new Clieflix thread.
I will start it off with saying, when will the new videos be uploaded? And do you have any plans of putting up the filter combinations you use?
Mr. Spic

Ok ... let's get the thread going...
I will start off with this link
http://www.clieflix.com/forum/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=3&TopicID=100&PagePosition=1
This basically is from my site and details the changes to CLié FLix and the device support that it is going to have.
Please drop on by and check it out...files are back online (please follow through on above link), sign up for our newsletter to be informed of the newest online flix and site changes, and participate in the forums, we need to pick up the site a bit!!!
Thanks to all for their patience...also coming soon www.nxflix.com which will be dedicated to the NX and NZ.
Cheers!
PS: You'll notice that the previous link redirects to clieflix.com :)

The clieflix site is great, however, is there a site that has trailers for movies coming out soon (kinoma)? Appreciate the info....thanks.
Mr. Spic
01-20-2003, 12:57 PM
I didn't think people actually liked trailers on their pda...if more people request I can surely create an area on clieflix.com for the trailers
Cheers!

Mr. Spic
That would be great! I know some people who likes that idea, especially if they are only within a couple of minutes long each ,and movies that have yet to come out! You are doing all of us PDA enthusiasts a great service. More power to you! Thanks

Any chance of adding a format suited to the SJ30?
Mr. Spic
01-21-2003, 03:38 PM
If you look at my original post up top, there is a link to my site which states the devices that are being supported.
The SJ30 falls under the Colour Palm encoded category!
Check it out, drop by, enjoy!
Cheers!

I was wondering if you could you could drop the frame rate on the T665C encoded videos down to 10 or 12 fps. I find that on my T-615C with the audio adapter that I get a fair amount of hanging and frame skipping, but I don't want to drop down to using the color palm category.
If you knock the frames back to 10 or 12 then anyone with a 33mhz clie and audio should be able to use that movie, including N760/N710 and recently announced SJ-33, plus the N610, T615C, T415C, SL10, SJ20, and SJ30 with audio adapter. It would still look good for the T665C, NR and NX Clies. Another bonus will be that the files will be smaller. Right now its really only useful to the 66mhz clies.
Thanks!:D

I finally got my dns issues resolved www.nxflix.com (a teaster for you all)
I have uploaded the following already to the site:
a_bugs_life.mqv 87.7 mb
blade_runner.mqv 107 mb
fifth_element.mqv 116 mb
final_destination.mqv 90.7 mb

peter pan 2.mqv 60.2 mb
scooby-doo.mqv 74.8 mb
spaceballs.mqv 90.5 mb
young_frankenstein.mqv 97.6 mb
Thanks to the irc community for some of the content. Anyhow I am still hoping (shooting) for tonight for the new site to be fully up (and with the above videos online...)
Keep your fingers crossed :)

Guys...don't worry both sites are still alive...physically...there seems to be some issues with the Bell Canada's T1 line and the Router...since this is really not a mission critical site it's going to wait until Monday.
The NX is ready to go so when the Router issues are cleared we will have both the clieflix and nxflix sites going.
Cheers!

Mr. Spic, do you use Kinoma Producer to create these files? If so, could you post the settings that you use to produce the files? I know enough to set the device type to NR70v (wide-cw), but I'm sure that tweaking those settings would result in better quality and filesize. Any suggestions you could share would be great for everyone, I'm sure...

I can get to nxflix.com, but it's a WIP. If I load the Index.asp page, I get content, but all the links are dead. Anyone else getting this? Did I miss something?

Well guys, you're not going to like this too much and I call on anyone who can help out...
So you guys know a bit of background, I have a friend that I do consulting work with and he's got a client that he manages and that client is the one with the server and t1 line that I am currently using (for free). Anyhow this client is in some legal disputes and is more probable then not going to be shutting down. That means clieflix will also shut down, unless I can find somewhere else to host the site (along with the gigs of flix that I have...)
If I can't get help that's it for clieflix. Currently I can only update news items and such...no uploading of flix though!!! And you'll have to forget about nxflix.com because I can't upload files there either (same server).
That's the situation...needed to let you all know.
I know that mIRC is a mystery to alot of you but I am on there 24x7 serving up files for the NX, NR, T, T|T, and Color Palms...so I guess if clieflix goes down I will still be there.
Thanks you for your attention!

Damn!
Those are really terrible news. I was anxious to dowload some flix for my NX. If I could I would be happy to oblige, but I live in México, and pro webhosting is out of the reach of the average consumer.
PLEASE GUYS HELP OUT!!

I just downloaded the demo version of Kinoma and was going to convert some episodes of the Simpsons, when it said that they were in an invalid format. All of my TV shows are encoded in MPEG format. I assumed that it would be compatible. What video format do I need to convert them to so that they work with Kinoma? What program can convert it to that format for me (preferably a free program)?

Seeing that my site is down now :( (don't know what the status is as of yet but it is down)...
www.mirc.com (if you haven't already downloaded it)
in the status window type:
/server irc.autobotnation.com [enter]
/join #clie [enter]
If you're installing initially (mirc that is) you'll have to go through the setup where it will ask for your Name, email, and Nick that you want to use...
Cheers!

Okay. Some help please.
I have renamed the Blade Runner movie MOV00001.MQV and placed it in the correct MS folder(drag and dropped the file into 100MQV01). I am receiving an error that says the format may not be supported by my NX(it shows up on my list in movieplayer as ??? size:???). I have DL'd the complete file and it is .MQV format. Is anyone else having this problem?
Also, Mr.Spic, do you still have your cowboy bebop episodes? I really wanted those. Sorry to hear about your site. It was THE place for Clié video.

The site is gone. The jig us up they found it. I was able to get Final Destination & The Matrix, but it took 12 hours between the two on a 56k line. That's dedication.
So how do we get them to play on the MS?
Mr. Spic

Sorry...
Indeed the jig is up. The only place left to find this and many more now is on IRC
/server irc.autobotnation.com

we have well over 50+ gb of NX/NR/TT/T665C flix available

Hi ClieFlix,
How do I get onto IRC to get your files ? IS IRC MSN ? Sorry, a newbie to this sort of thing. What tools can I use to connect to your irc server etc ...
thanking you kindly

If you are using windows, then go to www.mirc.com and download it. when your done installing it, run it. in the servers tab put the info from the post above. when you connect you will see a list of channels. you should be able to put #clie in and go to that channel. if you have a mac go to google and try to find a IRC program. the instructions should be the same. if you have any other ?s just ask
