How can I get my Windows Address Book onto the Clié without doing the whole .csv thing, it really messes things up. Is there a program? (maybe free one hehe)...

I also have some in Outlook, which are the same? What is easier.
?

Thanks in advance.

If you have them in Outlook, you can use IntelliSync or Chapura PocketMirror (I prefer PocketMirror, but IntelliSync comes w/ the Clie) to sync with Outlook. The Windows addressbook, I'm not sure. Maybe import it to Outlook, then do what I described?

Yup, I would suggest the same method of importing all your addys into Outlook first and then using PocketMirror (or Intellisync) to get them synced into your Clié.

Intellisync Lite should be on your Clié's CD.
I prefer PocketMirror over Intellisync too...but use whatever is handy! :)
I'm still using the PocketMirror Lite version that came on my old PalmIII's CD...but if you get the Visor version of Palm Desktop you can get it off of there too. (DL it from Handspring's site).

BTW, the lite version of both proggys are free. Okay, they're 'value-added' software, meaning they are supposed to be included with your PDA when you buy it. Both companies offer a full version with more bells and whistles, but I've never felt the need to upgrade...yet.

A little confusing that the Windows Address Book is not the same as in Outlook. I need to keep both up-to-date, because I need one for this any one for the other. I do have IntelliSync, but it does not seem to run with Outlook 2003 :p .... running the beta here from Microsoft.

Thanks, yup... Elisha :) Yours is great too, just not as sexy... ;)

Can I download PocketMirror Lite somewhere and does it integrate with Palm Desktop (or interfere should I say) because I use both Outlook and Palm Desktop.. I wish they would combine or something. lol. Thanks again.

 :D

Hmm...you need to keep your Windows addy book separate from your Outlook contacts?

I'm not sure if that can be done(at least with PMLite or IntellisyncLite).
AFAIK, you'll have to merge your WAB into the Outlook contacts and then sync into your Clié's addy database. I don't think PalmOS can handle two separate addy DBs at once...I've never tried it anyway, but I only use the stock AddressBook app on my N760c.

If you have to merge your addys together into PalmDesktop, I think you'll have to stay with the .csv import process. :(

I don't use the WAB, I keep all my addys in Outlook (and Evolution). Maybe someone else has more ideas for you to try.

As for Outlook2003 not working with Intellisync. I don't know if PMLite will work with it either...your in beta-proggy no-mans-land there. :)
IIRC, You can get PMLite with the Palm Desktop for Handspring Visor and it asks if you would like to install it when you install the Palm Desktop software. I'm sure it's available elswhere, but I don't have a link.

My current Palm Desktop for Clié is installed right over the top of my Handspring Desktop, which is installed right over my PalmIII Palm Desktop. (Yeah I know, sloppy...but I didn't want to lose any info when I switched PDAs). Everything works fine, and when the Sony install proggy noticed I had PocketMirrorLite installed it asked if I wanted to uninstall it. I said no and was able to keep PMLite.

I'm at home and booted to Linux right now, but I'll take a peek tomorrow when I get back to my work puter.

Yeah...same as above. I don't know how to keep them separate on the Clie, and I'm pretty sure that if you use PocketMirror/IntelliSync, that "trumps" the use of Palm Desktop (ie, you can't use both separately.)

Good luck!

(mopar...got my PocketMirror Lite off a friends Vx CD :) )

I don't think my email will allow me to upload something of that size...

Do you have ICQ or can you FTP it to my FTP Server?

No ICQ (Instant Messenger, though), and I've never FTP'd anything. How do you do it?

Would you like to talk on MSN? I tried sending you an e-mail but you've got it disable or something on this bord. I'll introduce you to FTPing if you want hehehe.

I actually realized I've done it before, using ws_ftp, so as soon as I get that program back and up and running, we'll work it out.

my email is crh3f@cox.net if you want to email me...
