CF And Formatting

This may have already been stated but I couldn't find it :)

In the known issues section it states that

1. Cards cannot be formatted on the Clie (the feature is not yet supported).

This is true if I try to format either an MS or CF card using the CLIE Files app, you will get an error and have to perform a soft reset. However, if you use the Card Info app, you can format both the CF and MS cards.

Just thought I'd pass along some information that I hadn't seen relayed yet :)

Someone had mentioned it once before, and it's obscured somewhere in one of the threads. I tried to use the format without success. So I had just passed it off as bogus. Thanks for your finding.

Question, do you have the MS Pro driver installed?

accually... the Card info didn't format my CF on my NX60... it only renamed it...

Yes, the Card Info does work for changing the card names :)!

I went to the Good Guys and they took my CF card and formatted it with one of their demo digital cameras. I'm only sharing this info. as a last resort I suppose.
