Im glad I found this forum. I have been going through a lot of the posts reading up on the NZ90 as I am interested in buying one. I have some questions though I would grealty appreciate it if you NZ90 faithful can help out.

1) I will be using the PDA to its full capabilities which includes the regualr everyday applications (PIM, calender, and so on...) but I would also like to use it as an mp3 player and palm video game player to pass the time during my morning commute. Is the NZ90 a good MP3 player (with headphones in) is the volume and clarity as good as a standalone mp3 player? Is the mp3 player software good?

Part 2: Video Game

Although I love the keyboard, the NZ90 lacks a directional pad and face buttons like almost all Pocket PC machines have and use for video game playing. Im aware of the controller addon accesory and it looks amazing but I dont see that is supports the NZ90. How would one play games on this machine? Does the sony addon controller work with the NZ90? will it?

Last question:

How is palm software support especially for Palm OS 5.0. If I do get this PDA I will be migrating from a WinCE machine which had abundant software and game support from many software companies. When I search for palm software I see under OS supported various OS's including 2.0, 3.0 and so on but I havent seen many if any for Palm OS 5.0.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my post I would greatly appreciate your feedback.

I can respond to your first and third questions. The MP3 player sound is outstanding when using the headphones. I can't see how anyone could complain about the quality.

As far as the software, I've found that most software designed for OS 4 will work on OS 5. I have a lot of software that I bought prior to OS 5 and only two of my programs don't work on the NZ.

Yes, it would be nice if a 5-way stick was included on the Clie :)

Why are you switching to Palm in the first place? Just curious.

Have you taken advantage of the abundance of WinCE software? That would be one huge barrier for me switching off of a Palm platform. I've spent a LOT of money on apps and wouldn't want to start all over again.

Because of the cool hardware!!!!:D I have lots of money in apps as well and the price of PPC apps....Whoa!!

The MP3 player works very well. I've ripped most of my cd's at 320kbp's. They're huge but they sound great!!!

The game pad... Hotsync port's kinda in the wrong place, ain't it????

As for software, most of the apps that needed to be upgraded for OS5 compatibility have been. I have multiple apps written for lower versions that work fine as well.
