i do want to know that how many hours can u use when u are reading a e-book on nz90.

the battey drains from 90% to 45% in one hour.(no audio play, backlight at the lowest level).

i thougt it was impossible to remain at least three and half hours.but when i read instruation first time, the book said it can be used ten days base on 30 min. per day.

what's up with my nz90?

The bettery life improves after initial use, just charge it up and use it as usual. Dont worry it will get better.

At first it will get better then it will get worse after maybe 4-6 months of use.

I think there is issues with the smart battery's readings, more than a problem with the battery itself. Evil Ernie was trying to tell you to fully discharge and recharge to give it maximum capacity on both the laptop and the Clie.

You should be getting better ebook times. I got into one of my books a couple weeks ago. I started around 11:30pm and finished at 4am(it was a good book!!!:D). I think I had 75% when I started and was around 25% when I finished. Backlight all the way down.
On battery conditioning, it has been said not to do the full discharge more than once. I did one and stopped at 5%. Purportedly, it might damage the battery. Battery "life" does seem to get better with age. I throw mine on the charger whenever I'm not using it. Regardless of where it's at and have no degradation after 58 cycles on one and 20 some on another.
