The skin is the regular one I think, what changes is the visualization, but Im not sure if you can change that
See you

In audio player, start a song and in the upper right tap the middle box. You should get one of three visualizations. To toggle between the three, tap the "VE" button just below. :)

Hello John - I've done that but get 3 different visualizations - not the one shown. Is there something else I need to load? Someone has to know!
There were 3 other audioplayer skins that came with my Sony system CD when I bought my 665...try those - perhaps they also had other visualizations.
Personally, I really like this schtunks skin found here at Clie Source in: Clie Files > Skins > Others > Audio Player

Hello Jims - I did try the 3 other skins on the Sony CD - no good.
I will check out the schtucks skin - thanks.
Anyone else? Someone has to know this!

I doubt there is any visualization like that, its probably just a graphic that Sony's marketing department made before there was a model available to them, and they probably just guessed on how the visualization would look like.

I too like schtucks skin (the only one I use) and would agree that the three visualizations we're all talking about are the only real ones I know of. So I guess we continue to wait for the mystery guest who "has to know this!" :D

Okay, the "schtunks" skin is REALLY nice, and it does have a different visualization. Thanks! I was really hoping to see what the visualization from that one skin was, but I guess it's a lost cause. Oh well.
Most of the time I listen to MP3 in the background while doing something else with the Clie, so visualization is not that important to me. Use the limited power source for doing better thing with it or just turn off the screen to save energy, put the Clie in the pocket, and read a book. Even the optional AudioPlayer skin is not installed to save RAM space.
Audio Control DA (ACDA) makes even easier to launch the MP3 than the AudioPlayer. Now I hardly even go to the AudioPlayer anymore to listen to MP3. I like being able to listen MP3 on the go without the need to enter password first. Just turn the Clie on, finger swipe over the graffiti area to popup ACDA window over the System Lockout screen, press the Address button to start MP3, press up/down button to adjust the volume, slide the hold button to turn off the screen, put the Clie in the pocket and go.

OK, I have a question. Decided to download the schtunks skin like everyone and now I get an error message when I open audioplayer that says skin db not found. Anyone know what I did wrong and how to fix it?

RNClie -- same error here. I used pimover (free trial on www.handango.com) to delete the audioplayerskin on the clie (you have to set the property "read only" off). I then installed the new skin to the memory stick and used pimover to move it onto the clie and voila,it works. I don't know what happens if you don't delete the audioplayerskin on the clie first, and you just install to card and move the skin onto the clie -- that might work. HOpe this helps, Brian. P.S. if you just delete the audioplayerskin file on the clie and run audioplayer, the default skin comes back.

Thanks for the advice, Brian. I'll give that a try - just want to see how good the skin is that everyone uses.

The best way to load audio player skins is to MS Import them to the MS, delete any skin dbs in RAM, and then move/copy the skin from MS to RAM. For whatever reason, syncing the skin to RAM doesn't work and causes the error you experienced.
