The new Clie 380 goes on sale in France, Germany and the UK on June 2 2003. The rest of Europe follows on July 7.

Plans to release the product in the United States have been posponed because of unforseen issues with FCC approval for the 802.11b radio.

Sony expects to have everything resolved and the device brought to market by late August 2003.

Sorry, but Europe normally gets Clies two months after the US does, which now gets handhelds the same time as Japan. Unforseen issues with the FCC? Like what? Does the Wifi cause a brain tumor? :rolleyes: I would think Sony knows how the FCC regulates after having to go through the process several thousand times.

Somebody PLEASE punch this guy. I'll pitch in a dollar towards the lawsuit afterwards.

You won't find it on google (long story).

You'll need a forums account, which will run you 10 bucks, but I'll be the first to say if I had to choose, it would've been the best 10 dollars I've ever spent (I registered before they made people pay).

I'm tired of these incremental upgrades like the T380.  When will SONY do something really dramatic?  Doesn't anybody at SONY watch Star Trek?  Come on, let's get a communicator linked to transport technology.

even if someone would do a leak from sony, why would they do it? what was their motive? why did they do it? does sony distribute different rumours to all supposed leaks and see which one surfaces in the end? will anyone even read my post to this point?
