Being an amateur writer I decided to write a how to blog on trying to make the PSP into an e-book reader. I tested out a program that is offered free here:
http://psp4m.bigforumpro.com/ebooks-f60/ebook-to-psp-t630.htm
Had a long txt file to convert to JPeg format and put it into the PICTURE file on my PSP slim.

My blog is located here:
http://weblog.xanga.com/PPhilip/687838727/making-your-psp-an-e-book-reader.html
It show a finished page in black and white and a finished page in yellow.
---------------------
Edit: Since it works using jpeg format it should work in my TX or TH-55 without the use of a e-book reader. For these devices you should rotate the picture so that it will fit correctly. The Clie Viewer can enlarge the JPeg on the TH-55 but your results on the TX may vary.

I did post about that hack and the Psp slim is not that easy to downgrade, The old Psp Phat can be hacked to use bookr.
What I like about this windows program is that a jpeg book can be viewed on my Tungsten TX or Th-55. Though I could put any article on my blog and then plucker the HTML onto my Palm devices....

Edit : Here is my old post about bookr:
