In my file manager (for Zlauncher) I found a few interesting files in the ROM of my NX.

One of these files was called UI. It is 151k...Is there anyway to change this file and therefore changing the ui of my device? Anyone want to try to hack it?

Some other files are AvxMPEG4Decoder, AvxMP3Decoder, AvxMPEG4Decoder, AudioPlayerSkin, and many more interesting files!

Yea, you can stick to ZLauncher. That changes the UI.:)

That is the UI for the Movie Rec, Movie Player, Audio Player etc. The play buttons etc. Or rather the code that handles them.

It changes color...that's all. I want my device to look like the screenshots on PIC! (The cool 3D UI) or maybe even a Win XP type UI!

There are no global UI settings. Just get a resource editor for palm os and edit the forms for different PRCs

Ah never mind I misunderstood you. The current button style etc is created through code and not bitmaps afaik. In order to override this, OS5 would need to support hacks. There was a hack for OS4 that did it, but I highly doubt it would work under OS5.

Btw UI means the User Interface, meaning the layout of controls.
