Problems with Dbk 5

I got some serious problems with Dbk 5:
1) After sync'ing with outlook some of the repeated events are also shown as indivudual events. Example: event is repeated for 5 days in outlook but is also shown as 5 indivudal events, each of which with 5 repeats.
2) Problem 1) would be manageable if I could delete everything by hand in the NX, but after the next sync'ing it's all back to mulitple repeats of the same event again as if I hadn't deleted the additional events.
3) In week view the events show in minute, practically illegible letters. I played around with small font / large font but to no avail.
4) I can't change the alarm settings to any of the fancy ones. Even when changing to ones of the other standard ones, the system still plays the boring old Palm standard one. The fancy ones out sound utility don't even show, let alone play. Also, the import of recorded stuff doesn't work.

I just upgraded from 4 on my visor to 5 on my new Clie. I didn't have this problem.

Try installing TTfonts. I seem to recall seeing the same thing but when I look at it now, everything is fine. I also seem to recall reading on DB5's website that the author is aware of the issue and working on it.

Works fine for me. Where are you trying to choose the sounds? I see all listed in DB5.

Hmm, I recorded a voice memo and converted it to alarm and don't see it in the list either. Not sure what is going on.

Ulan, the datebk support group is located at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pimlicodatebk/; you'll get expert help there (though many here use it, too). If I remember correctly, datebk deals with repeated events differently than Outlook, but you'll need to check its extensive documentation to see the details.
I may be using a different version of Datebk than you, but for the fonts look not only in Preferences, but also in the separate Display Options menu item, which changes the look of the current view.
As far as alarms, some of the bundled Clie sounds will not work in any non-Sony app; it's not just a datebk5 issue. I don't know the technical reasons behind it, but that's the way it is.
