AvantGo & MS

Just downloaded AvantGo and find that it supports Memory Stick.
I set it to store all the data in MS.
But why Avantgo still consume lotta space in my handheld?
The Avantgo file size is still about 900K++?!!!
I thought everything has been moved to my MS...

Did I miss any settings?

You need to manually move the AvantGo app itself to the Palm-Launcher folder. Leave AG Connect in RAM. It's possible on the initial first or second HotSync that the downloaded data went to RAM first, before it was stored on the MS in the Avantgo folder. If you find any large dupes between that folder and RAM, delete the dupes in RAM. When your done, the total footprint in RAM should be less than 100K.

Try "iSilo"....it is 100 times better than Avantgo. iSilo lets you download any (yes any) web site you want onto your Clie. Runs from the MS with no problem . Supports Hi-Res and Hi-Res+, iSilo converts all files to a very small file size, better conversion than Avantgo!!

Does the new Avantgo work with OS4.1 devices or only OS5 units?

Well, I'm one of the biggest fans of iSilo, but I still keep AvantGo around for things like news. It's just very handy to always have the latest sports scores and movie listings without having to jump through a bunch of hoops with iSilo.

iSilo is great for web and text content that doesn't change more than once a day or so, but AvantGo is best for stuff that changes constantly.

Not that AvantGo has rational corporate policies or anything.
