Am I allowed to post this here?
I purchased my t/x about a year ago, and I have been using it one and off for most of that time. However, I am updating to a smartphone and no longer need it. Therefore, I would like to sell the device, but I don't use sites like ebay and amazon. Plus, I would prefer to sell it here to someone who knows how to use it or may want it for parts.
Here is the device in a nutshell. I have a bunch of programs already on the device (touch launcher, tcpmp, grxViewLt, Documents-To-Go, PalmPDF, CardTXT, PalmVNC, and much more), plus I have a 2 gig card and two 128 mb cards. I will leave everything on the tx, just remove my personal info, and send the cards with the device. The only problem is that hotsync cable or connector is going bad. It will still hotsync with wireless or bluetooth. And that is the only problem with the device.
Anyone interested? You can quote me a price, I am open for suggestions or bargaining.

I would need to know if it is the cable or the connector that is bad. do you have any way to find out?
How accurate is the digitizer and does it take more pressure at the alpha input area than the rest of the screen? And how well does the power button work?
Does it have the brighter Topoly screen or the Sharp screen? The topoly is on the left in this jpg and the Sharp on the right.

How does its battery life compare to when it was new?
Thanks

Alright, I will try to answer your questions a much as possible, but they are a little out of my knowledge about the general workings of the device.
1. I think it is the connector that is going bad. I have no real way to know this, but the cable seems more hardy and less likely to me to go bad. It still connects on occasion, I have to connect the device, then angle it around a little, or hold it straight up and down. Once I get a connection, the hotsync works great.
2. The digitizer still works great. I activated the "writes anywhere on the screen option" to compare the pressure, and I think they are the same. If there is a difference, then you need slightly more pressure in the alpha input area. I don't write with the stylus and have mini-kbd installed. The power button still works great.
3. the screen is the brighter Topoly from best I can tell from the picture you provided.
4. I have not put the battery life to the test since over the summer, but I have also not used it a ton since then either. When I tested it, I played music on it nonstop until the battery ran out - that lasted about 7-7.5 hours. Since then, I have used it mainly for music and the calendar - I charged it maybe once every 4-5 days. If I listened to a lot of music, once every 3 days.
Does any of that help? Anything else?
How does its battery life compare to when it was new?
Thanks for your interest.

It all sounds good except perhaps the connector issue. Your battery sounds like it is probably about good as new if not so. To a lot of folks the Topoly screen is highly desirable. Someone might want your TX just to get that screen then sell their own TX to get their money back, or maybe even just swap screens if they already had, say, a glass digitizer and other mods done to their own TX, thus not wanting to get rid of it. Then they could sell yours for what they payed you for it and everybody's happy.
At any rate, if you have the Topoly screen you really should brag that up to increase your price. It would also be great if you could confirm the connector issue. Because of how the connector on the bottom of the TX is made it should be the strongest most durable component of the two. The pins on the cable can get gummy/stuck springs for instance. The connector on the bottom of the TX is one solid 'no-moving-parts' piece of hardware. It would be tough to damage it I should think. It can get dirty but is easily cleanable.

I may have a way to test connection to see if it is the cord or the connector. My difficulty is finding someone to buy it. No one from 1src has contacted me besides yourself. I recently took some pics of it, and I have thought to place it on craigslist. I would prefer to sell it to someone who knows what he/she is doing because I have put a lot of different programs on it that I would hate for someone to just ask for a hard reset because he/she does not know what to do.
Any other things you can think of? Anyone you know looking for a good used t/x?
Thanks for the suggestions.

You might try putting it on the Brighthand Palm TX forum.
Since you say you have put a lot of programs on it you may consider listing them. They may have value to someone here.
