have you try the second time? sometime it just wouldn't work...don't ask me why...i just don't sometimes...(my experience)

Another suggestion, try close the Outlook Express before you try.
also, make sure the conduit setting of hotsync manager is set to "Outlook express"

Do this:

Go to control panel, click "internet options", click "programs" and set OE as your default email. Then open OE and set as "default" email clent. If that doesn't work, do this. Get a random CD with Internet Explorer and install. Choose "custom" and make SURE you "check" OUTLOOK EXPRESS and that will re-enable.

When MS Outlook is installed, it enbeds Outlook email client and overwrites Outlook Express. That should do the trick.

Hey Howie,

If you have OE and install OUTLOOK, OE will BE OVERWRITEN! If you still have trouble with this, go to control panel, uninstall Explorer and you will be prompted to repair or reinstall, choose reinstall and that will reenable OE. OK?

Hey Jim i figured out a solution....

GET RID OF OUTLOOK!

reset the windows MAPI for default e-mail handling and use palm desktop to do my day to day stuff...

it works now....thanks for your help.
