On the NX60, is it possible to turn off the voice recorder so that it does not turn on so easily with a tiny press of the record button? Can it just be disabled so that pressing the button will not turn it on? Thanks...

That’s a good question. I know on an NX70 you can change in the voice recorder’s options menu which application is activated when you press that button (either the camera, movie recorder or voice recorder), but I don’t know if there is a way to totally disable this button so that NOTHING is activated (obviously you won’t have the camera or movie option on your NX60). I would like to know if there is an answer to this as well.

if you activate the hold switch it disables that button. Just switch off hold when you want to record.

Yes, the best thing to do when your toting your palm around in your pocket, back pack, or purse for the ladies is to put the hold switch on. It keeps any of the buttons from being pressed and turning the unit on unwanted. This is a great feature compared to my old Palms, that would turn on all the time accidentally in my pocket. Kudos to Sony's R&D on that one!

Enjoy.

If you have McPhling installed, you can re-assign the record button to activate the apps list.

I for onr can't stand having to flip the hold button. I would like to disable it. Also, sometimes I hit the record button while flipping the unit around for a better position, so using the hold button then is not an option.
I would REALLY love to completely get rid of it. to the point I'm thinking of pphysically disconnecting it.

that would be a very last resort!!!
