I can read my 16 MB and 32 MB memory sticks but, for some reason, I cannot ready my 128 MB memory stick. I had put tape on it and I also pressed--with my fingers--on the Clie when inserting the MS. Can a card itself go bad? Is there anything I can do to check the memory stick's integrity? Thank you.
Yes it can. If you know that your Clie works with other MS, then you stick the bad MS in and you don't hear beep, nor see MS indicator light blinking the minute you insert the MS in the Clie, that means the MS is dead.
You can just return it back to the store for warranty exchange or refund. I bought Lexar 128MB MS from Dell twice and they were DOA. I then returned them back and got full credit back including shipping costs. That shows Dell is a good company to deal with. Unfortunately it carried sucky Lexar product at the time. No more Lexar for me. I stick with Sony or SanDisk from then on.

I have a 128 MB Lexar that works fine in my NR70/V, but not in my Dazzle MS reader where Sony MS media work okay.

Another recommendation for Lexar...I've got 2, and they both work fine.
