WI Fi problems

One of the advantages of working in the IT dept is that you get to talk to big dogs about problems. I've been having issues with connecting the clie wireless to the campus network. After some looking around it appears that DNS is acknowledging the request for an IP, sends the IP, but the clie never takes the IP. WTF, it works at home and in the IT labs, but not the rest of the campus. Anyone else experience this?

are you sure your campus isn't using something proprietary like wins/netbios for name resolution? the only possibility i can think of.

oh yeah... what's the dns search domain that you're on? (the suffix)
