Just bought a widescreen monitor and was wondering if there is any way to increase font size in the Palm Desktop?
Thanks

You have to edit the registry entry for the font size, but the area the is displayed does not change so you can't increase very much before the fonts start to stray beyond their intended boundary.
IIRC the entry is somewhere in HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> U.S. Robotics -> Pilot Desktop. Look for "Font" as data inside the keys, I don't think it is a key itself and there are lots of them.

Thanks for the info anyway.

It is my understanding that the primary font used in the Palm Desktop is the default system font. Open up the Window Display Properties (through the Control Panel or via right-clicking on the desktop background then 'Properties'). In the 'Appearance' tab note the "Window Text", that is the one. The only ways that I know of to change this font size will affect all programs that use this font. These are:
In the 'Settings' tab change the resolution of your display. Downsides: This of course will change the size of everything else.
In general modern LCD displays appear a little blurry in any resolution other than their native resolution.
In the 'Settings' tab, press the 'Advanced' button. In the resulting dialog box, in the 'General' tab there is a pull-down labeled 'DPI setting', the default being 'Normal size (96 DPI)', change this to a higher DPI. Downside: Many program have display layout issues running at 'Large size (120 DPI)'.
Even more programs have display layout issues running at anything other than Normal or Large.

Hmm, apparently I was wrong and Josser was right. Changing HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\Pilot Desktop\Core\FontSizeGeneral did affect the font display is Palm Desktop. If it matters, I am currently running Palm Desktop 4.1.4.
