Avant go with power run

Hi, can anyone tell me, why can't i sync avanto go, after moving it to MS with power run. same happens with net front. i downloaded power run yesterday after reading that there was not suppose to be any problems with the syncing of programs moved by powerrun.
can anyone help me please?

You don't use PowerRun to move it to the card. You use the card option in AG Connect and manually move the Avantgo app to the Palm-Launcher folder. This applicable to using the OS5 beta version only. Avantgo creates a folder on the MS to store the downloaded clips. Make sure the memory stick has been named and you can use Card Info on the Clie to do that.

If your using an earlier version for pre OS5, then I forget what to do.

It's hard sometimes when users don't give their name, rank, and Clie model number :). If more info is given up front, it can make things easier than playing a guessing game. For example, a user will cry that their Clie quit HotSyncing, but they never volunteer what was done that proceeded it. So one has to sit here and try to make some sense of things. Oh well, all in a days work... :D

PS: This is a general statement and not not directed towards anyone in particular :cool:.

I am using the latest Beta on an NX and installed this after removing ALL traces of the previous version (libmal etc.). I have chosen to 'use card' in server preferences and have an AvantGo directory on my MS under Programs BUT it still syncs the channels to RAM everytime...

The card has also been named in card info

Any ideas?

Shaun, are you sure it's still syncing there? Usually I found that AvantGo initially would dump in RAM on the first HotSync or so. Did you look in the AvantGo folder for dupes? To see if the data files are there (I don't remember what the files were as I have since deleted AvantGo)? I had to manually delete the leftover data files in RAM as long as there are duplicates in the MS AvantGo folder. The other common issue is the card name, although you said it was done. I know you probably did those things already, so at the moment I haven't any other ideas.

Yes, it has gotten nicer, even the ugly beta Icon is gone. MS speed seems a tad faster too! Best of all it's free, just a little work :).
