Hi, I've read that is fully compatible, but I'm not able to install it on anoyway! I've tried so mani Java Virtual Machine versions, and I've downloaed the gizmo app, wich is a .jad, and I can't convert it to .prc, because I need a .jar!
I'm becoming mad! Have anyone tried? And how do you do it!?

Thanks a lot!

Try to download http://gizmo5.com/download/gizmo.jar or http://gizmo5.com/download/gizmo_mini.jar for Lite version.

I recompiled the .jar and .jad files into a prc but this did not work at all. It failed to recognise the presence of my Java VM at all.

hmmm... off topic, but i couldn never get Java VM to work... did you get Opera mini working on your ux50?

I had the original Opera Mini working but could not get Opera Mini 4.1 to work for ages. I left it for a couple of months and when I tried again last week everything seemed to install correctly. I have done a hard reset in the intervening period so I suspect that this may have had something to do with it...

According to the IBM documentation, the key files you need installed are J9JavaVMMidp20.prc and possibly j9pref.prc. As the java app installs the first time, several new files will be created in RAM (J9 Database xxxxxx is the application itself and others named like J9RMS xxxxxxxxxxxxxx which seem to contain runtime preferences).

Whilst looking at the Gizmo application yesterday I noticed several things with regards to my Opera Mini install:
1. I do not seem to have either of the "key" files installed either in RAM or in the Opera Mini folder created by PowerRun
2. Installing the "key" files made no difference; I was unable to install any other Java files...

There must be some reasoning to this but I don't know what!

Actually, I re-checked and the relevant files do appear to be installed but the Preference panels are inaccessible. Weird...

thats about where i go to aswell. I would like to get JVM running so i could try out Opera mini... but then again, Netfront lets me do what i need to so its not that big a deal... would just be good to know i can upgrade software if i want to.

Even more strangely, I have noticed that Opera Mini re-installs itself everytime I start it up now too...
