Was curious if anyone had any experience with them. I was considering the DRG Echo. Seemed very nice.
What is everyone's favorite and where can you get the best price?

I bought a Litmann 4000. It's great. Very loud. Great for a medical student. But, it picks up ambient noise too. So if there is people talking next to you, you hear it through the scope while examining.
Tell us how you go with the DRG Echo if you get it. Cheers.

It would be kinda neat to have an electronic stethescope that plugged into the clie and used its speaker/headphones for sound output. It could come with software to link to the built in recorder app which would allow you to record the heartbeat of a patient with a pt name and MR#. You could then consider beaming the sounds to another physician... Just a thought.

how about a porta-ekg... wireless patches on patient's chest, constantly monitor on handheld via bluetooth, alarms when certain wave detected.....

I used a Meditron for a couple of years and liked it a lot.

The external stethoscope port went within a few months. the batteries last a long time. It finally stopped working a few months ago. I went back to my regular stethoscope because I was too busy to send the Meditron in for repair. I do miss the electronic type.
