so i know a thousand people have been asking bout Tseries and sdhc cards , etc...

sorry, ive been away from 1src and palm for a couple years.

so, can someone up-to-date me QUICK !!

I have a T|T right now and 1gb card

I JUST BOUGHT the T|T2 and thinking about 2GB (either SD or MicroSD with adaptor)

I read you can only READ not WRITE the 2gb ??? or is that only T3?

will a 2gb (even micro) work in the T2 completely ?

PLEASE ADVISE

Thank you kindly, and sorry if this is a rehash.

---> I mean because a 2GB MicroSD card is Fat16, shouldnt the T2 be able to read/write to the card?

anyway, any info would help

there's TOO much mixed info in google.com search , ahhhhhh

im sorry man, im really green, lost much of what i knew about the Tungsten (grin)

so, in baby english for me.... T2 will read/write the 2gb card? (does it matter if full sized or micro?)

yeah, i see T3 having a lot of issues.... this question is Only for the T2

thanks mate

sorry for the hassle. just if i know the 2 will work, im getting rid of the 1gb to pay for a 2

AFAIK 2 gb will read/write/erase/anything_else on T|T2

micro with adapter is the same thing since internally it is the same thing. The device will not even know it's a micro card.

besides not knowing what AFAIK is....

i think the 2gb is a full 2 thumbs up if im getting ya right.

thanks man,

now on to selling the 1gb, had some folks want it, but was worried the 2gb would not recognize.

i was reading T2 would only read the thing and maybe Write to 1.5gb of it.

somewhere said there is a 1.5gb restriction on the T1/2/3

thanks !

AFAIK --- \ahh, found it...... ok, so im not net-slang suave .....

so, u don't know for certain there is no issue with a 2gb... you assume it's fine because it's omap.... (so, there may still be a 1.5gb issue with the T|T2)

ahhhhhhh, back to square one...

im giving myself a headache now (grin)

thanks mate

no
TT2 IS omap.

TT3 does have a 1.5g restriction. architecturally it is very different from t1/t2 and thus has different limits

ah, got it

so basically, they screwed the T3 up.

kinda like Sony put the lid on PSP phat model when they discovered it had an exploit, the older versions had more function than the later released ones.

gotta love the companies eh.

thanks for sticking with me on this mate,

much appreciated.

IT DID NOT WORK !!!

I tried 3 2gb brand new cards.

I put them in the T2 and at first they read the full memory.

So, in the Card Info program of T2 I did FORMAT CARD.

Message, "FORMAT FAILED"

CARD NOT RECOGNIZED.....

or i get NO CARD

I tried a 1gb again, perfect, no problems

WHATS UP ???

you need to format it on PC as fat32, and install the fat32 driver from my site

really?
i thought u said the T2 was free from that?

ahhhhhhh

it's ok, i bought a 1gb AND a 2gb to try the fat thing anyway, haha

so, where do i find the Fat and the instructions?

thanks man

ok, so i found your Fat32 driver, and installed it through HOTSYNC

is that ok? i removed the pp installer thing from the PDA after i saw Fat32 was installed.

(some websites say you have to install it on the card, then transfer...???)

ill be getting a card reader tomorrow because, i still couldnt even read the card using CARDEXPORT2 -- it said, " SlotCardRead:(Sys 0502)

i assume it's because the PDA can't access the card (except to see the size) and so it can't communicate with PC, right?

anyway....... if im right, what's the procedure please.

also -- using JackFlash, can i put the Fat32 into ROM incase of reset?

thanks.

ok, this is really frustrating

i went and bought a 2gb and a usb memory card reader

plug it in, format the SD card to Fat32

stick it in the Tungsten T2, which i already installed the Fat32 driver, and FATAL ERROR

message, " MSFSLib.c,Line:1711, Unable to write FSInfo

---> i have to remove the card and Reset in order to use the T2

I use the card reader and Format to Fat16 and the tungsten Recgonizes the Card, sees the info, but i cant do anything with it.

I loaded ZLauncher. I put the Fat32 on the card using card reader.
ZLauncher File Manager sees the card, but again, wont do anything.

I tried to MOVE the Fat32 file from the Card TO Palm and i get
ERROR Sys0502

so what is up. i followed the instructions...... ?

any help?
