I'm new to Mac, but not to Clié -- I still love and use the TH55 regularly. But since I got my first Mac this summer, I've not been able to get the Clie to sync properly, ie, transferring all the info in all the categories. I bought and was using Mark/Space's Missing Sync since it claims to be the best interface for Mac. It did seem to be working, but upon closer inspection the categories were all messed up. I fixed them all manually, but then it wouldn't update anymore. So now I've uninstalled Missing Sync, intending to install the Clie desktop -- and discovered it won't install onto the Mac. Has anyone managed to get the Clie destop onto the mac? Or get a palm desktop onto the Mac that at least the most essential items of the Clie syncs to? Or made it all work with Missing Sync with or without the Palm or Clie desktops?
I'd appreciate any and all input, because I really do want to continue using the Clie -- with the Mac. Thanks.

Can I add a question to the discussion? Has anybody installed XP (not Vista, thanks) on their Mac using Fusion or Parallels, and if so, can you sync with the CLIE that way? I'm thinking about a Mac for next year but if I can get XP backward compatibility, I would just keep syncing the good old TH55 that way.

Yes, I am using Parallels with XP3 on my Imac G5 and have loaded the standard TH55 software. No problems so far.

Parallels has a demo that you can download and if you decide to purchase, then I suggest you do it on-line and save yourself a lot of frustration. The CD version sold over the counter is probably an older build and will have bugs.

The latest build 5608 is very stable.

Thanks for that info! One of the big problems with my planned computer upgrade for next year is the forced move to Vista. I was thinking of trying out the Mac-plus-XP approach which would kickstart me into the future plus keep the older stuff I need. It would be my first Mac, if I go that way.
