Hi, I'm hoping that one of you intelligent Mac guys lives in London, and would be willing to go and work on one of my clients' mum's 333Mhz iMac. She's in the Swiss Cottage area in the North West part of London and is going to get broadband, but the computer is 4 years old and no system maintenance has ever been performed so it might need some cleaning up for performance reasons. Also, more RAM needs to be installed (it only has 64MB). What I think needs to happen from his description is whoever goes over should have an external USB HD (it doesn't have firewire), back up her data which is mostly appleworks documents, email, favorites, etc. Format the HD, install 9.2.2 and any updates, configure it for the broadband she signs up with, and restore her data along with any programs (i.e. AppleWorks). I'm thinking it should only take 2-3 hours. 1 hour for the install of 9.2.2 and 1-2 hours for data backup and restore because I don't think she has too much. If any of you are willing, please email me at jeff_langston <at> mac.com with your price and I'll give you some more information.

Thanks.

Jeff

Hi Jeff,
i know what its like to find some1 whos great with macs.i.e almost inpossible.i did a lot of research and it was not easy.its either online or it costs a fortune.however,i did find a guy who used to work for apple and specialises in home visits and he will load software, tune up clean, teach etc etc.he charges about £450 a day but for that he is with you from 9am to 6pm and you get everything you need.i booked him for the day and he totally turned my machine around and taught me more in 1 day than courses can do in a fortnight.if u want his details then mail me as i dont wish to give his details out for all to see.
hope this is of some help.
