Anything Better than Aventgo?

Anyone know if there is anything better to use than Aventgo? Maybe something that uses the full screen of the NR?

Handstory has a very low amount of the so called 'clips', the channels on Avantgo. I love Avantgo, but they really should make it HiRes+, that'll make reading a lot better. So does Docements to go, but that's another story.

By the way, Avantgo should make images compatible with HiRes screens too. They all show up with a width of 150, or anything near that, that's awfull to look at when your screen can support twice the width!

If you have OS5 then you should try the current Beta version of AvantGo.

First, iSilo can be found at www.isilo.com (http://www.isilo.com)

However, I should note that I think iSilo and Avantgo are two very different tools.  AvantGo is most intended for offline viewing of website that you want kept current, such as ezines, news, etc.

iSilo is really intended for creating documents from txt and htlm documents for viewing on your PDA.  While they both port html pages to the PDA, unlike Avantgo, iSilo creates individual documents of each "project" or website that you port. The iSilo documents are searchable, etc.  Avantogo does NOT create separate, discrete documents of each translated site, which documents can be shared, beamed, posted, etc.  iSilo is MUCH better for creating reference materials and the like - IMHO.

I've had Avantgo in the past and eventually fetched the sports and local news from the Internet which is more real time. Avantgo gave me Game 3, 2nd inning World Series scores as their latest during Game 6. I'm hopeful you find other Web Sync programs that are dated.

I didn't think Avantgo was actually responsible for the content you choose. If your content provider doesn't update their Avantgo channel then you won't get the updated news. Maybe there's more reliable content providers in Avantgo for you. For me, I update every morning and I have all the news from the day before, including sports results.

Granted, if it isn't already mobile friendly, then you may have to work with custom scripts.

Also, Handstory is HiRes+.
