View Full Version : Sending via Bluetooth does not work...

Hi all,

I got an ... uhm ... "interesting" error on my Palm TX.

When trying to send a file via Bluetooth, i get the error message "exgErrTargetMissing", and nothing happens. This message I get when using RescoExplorer.

Filez, Zlauncher and Palm's own sending would not react at all.

I can, however, receive files (tested with an mp3) from a PC.

Using Palm's own launcher (menue->send), the Palm crashes after selecting a file and hitting the "send" button a few times.

Doing a full / hard reset (powerbutton down + reset) enables sending again. Restoring my data via RescoBackup leads to above described situation.

Anyone got an idea what to do?

Thanks,
McTrinsic

You could try the app CleanPrefs (http://www.reichertonline.be/palm/cleanPrefs.prc)

There's a small discussion of a similar problem here. (http://www.1src.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134137&highlight=cleanprefs)

A corrupted database or preference. Try restoring everything except those files with "Bt....".

If it doesn't help, you will need to hard reset, restore the PIM data, the apps, but don't restore preferences. You will need to enter registrations again, and do some configuring.

Hard reset: Did that, worked.

Had indeed to re-enter some configs. One of the programs I bought I had to provide with the serial number again, the ohther didnt bother.

I used Resco Backup and restored everything but System files.

Apparently, cleanprefs did not work for you. Strange, it does the trick everytime for me.
