My S360 used to freeze-up for a split-second around every 6 seconds. So every program I used (games, etc) would temporarily freeze, then continue. For example, I would be playing a pinball game like PinballZ, and the ball would stop for a split second, then continue. And this would repeat over and over, every 6 seconds.

I didn't know what was causing the freeze-up problem at first, but then I determined it was the driver for my Targus mini-keyboard (aka Thumboard). Once I deleted the Targus driver program from my PDA, the freeze-up problem went away.

Has anyone else experienced this type of freeze-up problems with their PDA, who also used a Targus Mini-Keyboard ?

I am just curious if I have bad driver program, and just need to download a new (or different version) or if this is an actual bug in the driver software.

Also, the keyboard doesn't need to be plugged in for the freeze-ups to occur.

Well ... I finally got my Targus Mini-Keyboard (aka Thumbpad) to work with my S360, without causing the "every 6 second" freeze-ups.

The driver I downloaded from the Targus website is what was causing my "freeze-up" problem.

When I first bought my Targus thumbpad, I just went to the Targus website and downloaded the latest driver. I didn't even bother trying the one which was on the accompanying CD. I figured the latest driver on Targus website had to be the best one to use. Well today I found out that wasn't the case!

Today, I tried the Thumbpad driver which was included on the accompanying Targus CD, and the S360 worked great with that driver, and no more "freeze-ups". :)

So much for progress.....  but at least I can use my Thumbpad again !!!  Wooo ... Hooo ...

I also recently bought the Targus fold-up Stow-away keyboard for my S360 ... and that thing is terrific !!!   It folds up in a \/\/ shape ... so it can fit in your pocket... and it opens up into a full-sized keyboard! It feels just like a very good laptop keyboard.. and all the keys are full sized. Highly recommended !!!
