Poll about: How many softresets needed for normal use of your TX ?

Difficult to answer your poll.
The reason is, that I'm using NVBackup to reset my Devices normally at night.
My experience is, that my Devices are so more stable during the day.

Not sure if the correct answer is:
" Never had have a softreset without my triggering. "
or
" Daily reset (can't live with my daily reset) "
I opted for the latter but I think my TX would be fine without it and I definitely could "live without it" :)
I push the Reset button every morning and go make coffee.
I have no proof it improves performance (the coffee definitely does) as I have been doing this every morning for many years.
I use CleanStart (www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/cleanstart.shtml) :)
My TX never resets (Crashes) with normal use, only when I test buggy apps but I can't blame the TX for that.

What about mine, it's very stable
It comes with ummmm, well let's see, lots of freeware apps if you want them.
I'll even throw in a 64 MB MultiMedia card (stop laughing, it's rude) the card still works ok and keeps a copy of my 'essential' apps handy, just in case ;)
All those interested, please form an orderly line and no pushing :D

my TX was very stable back on its good days. Needed like a reset twice a week to speed up.
Now it just resets everytime it wants since i broke it :( (but hey, its still alive! :D )
Often, if I was accessing Blazer - but this has almost completely dropped off since installing FlushIt! to clear the cache.

Try it. I'll ask you later how it works and why you switch back to your daily reset.

I gave up on the daily resets as I found that it didn't make my TX any more stable during the day. I still get random resets about once or twice a day. I have many apps but they are all "mainstream", I expect that most other TX owners have them too so I can't figure out what the problem is. I have noticed that Agendus seems to cause more than it's fair share of resets. However, the resets are the least of my worries. My failing digitizer is much more of a hassle to me now. I see a replacement in my very near future.

Coming up on three years without resets that I didn't initiate. Check your third-party applications.

I still do a daily scheduled reset. Other than that I too find that Agendus causes a reset more often than I'd like, but still not too often. I have noticed that a 3rd party app for Genealogy gedstar pro which was working fine before is now causing a reset everytime I use it - time to reinstall.

I actually did a HR and reinstall of most of my apps a month or two ago. Unfortunately I installed Agendus afterwards and instead of reinstalling GedStar I restored from backup (less work but now I'm going to have to delete it and reinstall anyway) :(
installed opera mini - resets almost every other day or when loading pages with graphics.

Opera Mini is a disaster. Use netfront or Universe.

I have a lot of junk on my TX, many third party apps freeware/payware, and have to reset at least once or twice a day. If I did a clean install on my Palm though, it'd be fine, just a few buggy apps.

Often, if I was accessing Blazer - but this has almost completely dropped off since installing FlushIt! to clear the cache. Is it advisable to clear the cache regularly, please?

I have noticed that Agendus seems to cause more than it's fair share of resets. OBI would like to second that.

I reset ~once a weak. only when blazer starts giving "not enough memory" errors even after relaunching the app.
