In the forum "FAT32 driver - Working" It was stated that 4GB SD cards would work with the T3 after the FAT32 driver was installed. A step by step tutorial was given and I followed it to no avail. I put the 4GB card in and the T3 would say "card is not recognized". Putting in a 2GB FAT32 card would work fine though.

Thanks for any and all advice.

Thanks, I will check out the sdhc thread. The forum I mentioned above says only the transcend 4gb card works with the T3. Which Transcend 4GB card is everyone referring to? The regular one, 133x, 150x, or are all of the cards compatible? I have the Transcend 133x card.

OK, I hate to be bothersome, but by saying "no 4GB card will work" do you mean that no matter what, the card will not be recognized by the T3? or the card will have limited functionality? Several people with T3's managed to get 4GB cards to work on the "FAT32 driver - Working" thread and here: http://www.emuboards.com/invision/index.php?showtopic=24575&pid=284960&st=30&#entry284960
Is this true or are they just lying?

I mean that unless i release an sdhc driver for t3 NO 4GB card will be fully recognized by it. some can be read-only, but no card over 1.5 GB is size will be writeable

Alrighty then, thanks for your time in responding. I guess I will wait until your release of the SDHC driver for the T3, which seems to be next in your to do list.

It has been my understanding that, for the T3:
Officially it supports up to a 1GB SD card, inclusive.
Unofficially, without modification:
One could use a 1.5 GB SD card (very rare).
Above 1.5GB, up to 2GB, inclusive, SD cards would work for read-only, but would fail if one tried to write.
Above 2GB would not work.
With the FAT32 driver mentioned above, one could use up to and including 4GB SD cards, but not SDHC cards.
Note: Technically 4GB SD (non-SDHC) are not SD compliant, but several manufactures made them anyways before the SDHC standard was ratified.
4GB SD (non-SDHC) cards are getting harder to find.
Some of the 4GB SD (non-SDHC) cards were cheap in quality and reliability
To use use SDHC cards one needs (in addition to a FAT32 driver) a SDHC driver.
Dmitrygr is working on this.
Dmitrgr is also working on a greatly improved FAT32 driver.
