When I do a soft reset, I get the following message:
Do you want to enable McPhling? OK or Cancel
Is there a way to set it to enable automatically?
Thanks

New version of McPhling does just that -- if it was enabled BEFORE crash, it's still enabled post-reset.
Gotta love responsive developers.
Now if I just knew where to download the new version...

Simply FABULOUS!! A lot of people used to setup McPhling with the capture button, my new configuration is with the new HOLD feature as follows:
HOLDING Jog Dial Push for McPhling App List
HOLDING Back button for Previous Application
Try it!

The problem with that setup is it interfers with OKey Super Jog Assist, but you can set the Capture button to Hold to call up the list, with the same effect!!

You are right, anyway the HOLD new feature is great. Thanks on clarifying

Anyone having problems with activation via the silk buttons?

they are working for me (with hold checked), what is the problem?

Well, I have hold checked... I'm assuming "hold" means that if you press and hold the silk button, it will launch McPhling. If you just tap the silk button, it will launch the standard function. Is that correct?
For example, I select the silk Menu button. Whether I just tap it or tap and hold, McPhling launches. Therefore, I can't use the standard Menu button function.
I've tried changing access to the silk Calculator and the silk Find button, but I can't get McPhling to launch; the standard functions launch no matter what tap or tap/hold). This is on an NX70V so maybe it doesn't work with VG?
Any thoughts?

Yes, it's the same thing here, the hold feature doesn't seem to work with my clie either, anyway I don't use the silk buttons for launching the keyboard/numbers, you can still use the keyboard mode just below the Find button.
Maybe this doesn't work, as you say, with NX.

Hold only works with hardware buttons.

What I like most about McPhling is that I was finally able to do something about the NX's annoying tendency to go into audiorecord mode at the slip of a finger: set McPhling to activate via the recordbutton.
I love my NX, but the placement of that record button is a NIGHTMARE.

I like the record button where it's placed, if you press it in error a lot, try using hold in your clie. Maybe Sony should put a configuration setup for their clie buttons.... thoughts?

If I put the hold on every time, that's just another step in the way of using my Clie'.
I prefer a software solution that either changes preferences or allows you to turn off the recording feature.
Since McPhling has made that option available along with its other incredibly useful (main) feature(s), I gladly sent along my $12.
I like the new press & hold Up/Down button option for McPhling Activation. They free up the previously App to Menu & Menu to App stylus swipe options that I use previously for them. Now I can use the stylus swipes for launching other apps/DAs with EasyLaunch.
