When is the next NZ coming out?

I hope not soon; I need to ring more value out of my current NZ... I will be way to tempted to get the next one... I will however, try to wait till OS6 before I make another purchase... God give me the strength.:D

More seriously, I doubt they would bring one out just for the RAM capacity, but it is highly likely that the next version will at least match the Palm Tungsten C, which has 64 MB (really 51 MB for actual use) of memory. The RAM was not why I switched from NZ 90 to the Tungsten C, but it is a nice benefit certainly.

Rumor has it that this form factor has been disappointing in sales. I suspect the next 'NZ' will come from an evolution out of the NX line.

NZ sales have been very poor so it is unlikely Sony will introduce another.

I agree that the next NZ should be an enhanced NX form factor. I wonder if Sony will decide to build in the 802.11b and deny users the option of using the CF slot?

Maybe they will take the other route and give us a proper CF slot and (please PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!) SD instead of Memory Stick.

(I know, not a hope but I can wish can't I?)

i'd say that the wifi is more likely to be built in, and we lose the cf slot, and the ms will definitely stay..

for all of it's faults, i'm really happy i got the nz...

I was kind of hoping that the next one would have a cell phone, XM Sat Radio, a 5 MP camera, Direct TV, Solar Power Supply, Voice Req, blood pressure monitor, DVD player, ILINK Port, and weigh less than 4 ounces and cost less than $499

Naw, you know the belt clip everyone wants for their PDA case, they could mske that into anti gravity device.. ergo a weightless clie

I forgot to mention, forget the CF slot, a 10 gig mirco hd, heck not one but two pc card slots, and lets not forget a coax adapter for cable TV and yep an RJ 45 connector and last but not least a mobile P4 3.06 GHZ CPU with up to 2 GIG of internal rdram.

For all those Clie lovers out there, don't fail to recognize one fact,
Sony and the Japanese et al, regard Americans as culturally a mixed race mongrel society, uneducated, obese and other cute descriptors spoken in their corporate suites. On the plus side for the US, .jp companies are dysfunctional on almost all s/w development and for 80% of the population their cell phone is their internet jump point, with less than a 10% having any PC home system or connectivity. When SMS virii become prevalent, they will be off the net..
