Drew,
Sorry, can't help you with your questions as I have yet tried any.
I do have some quick questions for you though. How do you like the Stedman's? How close is it to the bound version? How difficult or ease of use? Any other thought would be great.

i just started giving stedman's (from skyscape) a try a few days ago. the information is great...the definitions match my bound copy of Stedman's Concise almost exactly. i just did a quick comparison of some random terms, and the only difference is that the handheld version actually has more info in some cases (probably due to the fact that it's not the 'concise' version). my experience is a bit limited so far, but it looks to be a very thorough and easy-to-use resource.
that said, i've also had the opportunity to use Dorland's (skyscape) quite a bit...and i actually find it a little easier to use. the organization of Dorland's makes it a little easier to find what you're looking for quickly, but you get a lot more information from Stedman's. i guess that's the trade-off you have to deal with...
i've got a question about Stedman's if anyone uses it regularly...is there a way to jump straight to an exact topic that i'm missing out on? for example, if i look up something like 'potter syndrome' in the index and tap on it from the list, i'm taken to a definition of the word 'syndrome' and have to scroll through a long list of every syndrome listed in the dictionary just to select 'potter syndrome' again and be taken to the specific definition. am i missing something? is there some way i'm not aware of to jump straight to the exact topic that i want? this is one of the big reasons i think i prefer either Dorland's or Taber's at this point...finding exactly what you want is a lot faster.

There are two Stedman's, concise and the full thing. The full one is by far and away the best. Great definitions, very complete. Only problem is that it's about 14 megs. You need serious space, but if you use a dictionary allot, it's nice.

Medcat,
Have you tried using the full version? If so, of the 14megs, how much of it can be stored in external memory? or how much of it is required to be internal memory?
Thanks,
John

All can be stored on card except reader (about 200). Very quick loading time for the amount of info. Very good app.

Medcat99,
Great to hear about the ability to store in external card. About the reader, does it come with the package when you purchase the dictionary or do you have to purchase it on the side?
