Hotsync via bluetooth?

Sony support told me that I cannot hot sync via blue tooth because the desk-top software does not support it. (I've tried, but get an error message that the port is in use). The manual says it can be done. Could someone please tell me if it is possible and how to do it?

it certainly is possible, assuming you have both a bluetooth equiped pda and computer. if your settings are correct, then switch the ports and you will find the right one which is in use for the bluetooth sync.

hopefully you do not have the Microsoft Bluetooth Tranciever, because that does not suport the virtual serial profile.....you'll just have to wait until MS, releases the appropriate drivers.

Just make sure you have "Bluetooth serial port" in your PC's BT setting, note the com port it is using, then set your Hotsync manager to use "Local Serial" -> Local -> (what ever com your BT is using)

This will create a virtual Serial connectin between your Clie and PC.
