Concerning Palm Treo 680

In Prefs> Sounds and Alerts> Tips> Phone Alerts, it states as follows:

You can choose to be alerted when your phone moves in and out of wireless coverage or loses the wireless signal during an active phone call.

I have looked in the Prefs> Sounds and Alerts and I see no option concerning alerts as related to coming in and out of signal area. I would like to turn the racket off; but, I don't see how.

Hi,

I have a Sprint 755p (updated ROM), and in Prefs / Sounds & Alerts / Application = Phone Alerts -

I've turned off both "Coverage in/out" and "Signal Faded".

HTH,

-Jerry

Dumb me. I failed to notice that "Applications" had a drop-down menu.

Thanks.

I have an AT&T Centro. The notification seems to only alert when you go into service, not out of service. The only way I know I am out of service is by the blinking red LED, but I hear a tone when back in service. Would be nice to get the notification the other way around.

Well, I was sitting in the waiting room at a doctor's office yesterday and I guess I was in a borderline area because that chord wave went off about every minute for the forty minutes I waited--very annoying.
