My power button has long been inoperable. Is there some other way of initiating a hard reset?

Dowdnload and install PowerBtn (www.canuck-software.ca)
This will allow you to set a HardButton to turn the TX on and off if you want.
The PowerBtn app has a 'Hard Reset button' which you tap and after a time countdown (you can cancel in this time) it will perform a Hard Reset.
I also recommend putting a copy of PowerBtn on your expansion card by going to
Launcher>Menu>Copy
All the best, woz of oz

Very good, Sir! A google dig has turned up a video showing how to do a hard reset by merely holding all four hard buttons through reset. Those who search for this thread should look at this video if they still need help.

thanks again Roz
I use CenterMenu as a power button alternative; it's AlexWare, and is available in the freeware section IIRC :)

Hi,

If you don't have an operable power button and you are stuck in a reset loop try that out!
